Product Listing - Slotted Preloads

All preload disc springs are manufactured with as little variation as possible, and are made from SAE1075 as the default base material, they are hardened by quenching and then tempered to reach Rockwell C hardness of between 46-48. The anti-corrosive protection is zinc-phosphating, subsequent light oiling, in see-through plastic packaging.

The following abbreviations are used in the Product Tables Below:

We find the following ratios useful as well:

  1. h0/t : Ratio of Cone Height to Material Thickness
  2. De/t : Ratio of Outer Diameter to Material Thickness
  3. De/Di : Ratio of Outer to Inner Diameter

A quick note on the BB reference: Ball bearings have an inner and outer ring, between which the balls/rollers are seated. In most instances the outer ring is the target of the preload but in some situations the inner ring might be preferable. When choosing the preload disc spring, we provide the corresponding ball bearing type in so far as the outer ring is concerned, ie 6302, but this same preload disc spring can be used for the inner ring of types 6205 or 6305.
